Spinach Lasagna: 7 Layers of Pure Comfort and Nutrition

Description

A delicious and healthy spinach lasagna packed with layers of cheese and spinach.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 1 jar marinara sauce (about 24 oz)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  5. Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce.
  6. Add half of the ricotta mixture and half of the spinach on top.
  7. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  8. Repeat layers: sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, spinach, and mozzarella.
  9. Finish with a layer of noodles, marinara sauce, and remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes until cheese is bubbly.

Notes

  • Let the lasagna cool for 10 minutes before serving.
  • You can add other vegetables if desired.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
