Sourdough Discard Raspberry Cream Cheese Danish Delight

Description

A delicious danish made with sourdough discard, filled with raspberry and cream cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup sourdough discard
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup raspberries
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface.
  3. Cut the puff pastry into squares.
  4. In a bowl, mix cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  5. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
  6. Add a few raspberries on top of the cream cheese.
  7. Fold the corners of the pastry squares towards the center.
  8. Brush the tops with egg wash.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
