Deliciously sweet and soft sugar cookies inspired by Ree Drummond.
Ingredients

- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
- In another bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth.
- Add egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract to the butter mixture.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
- Roll dough into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets.
- Flatten each ball slightly with a glass.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until edges are golden.
- Allow cookies to cool on wire racks.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container.
- For added flavor, sprinkle cookies with sugar before baking.
- Chill the dough for better texture.
