Description
A delicious overnight Monte Cristo breakfast casserole that combines the flavors of ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese with a French toast base.

- 8 slices of bread
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup diced ham
- 1 cup diced turkey
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- Powdered sugar for serving
Instructions
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Layer half of the bread slices in the bottom of the dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon.
- Pour half of the egg mixture over the bread.
- Layer the ham, turkey, and cheese on top.
- Add the remaining bread slices and pour the rest of the egg mixture over the top.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- For best results, use day-old bread.
- You can substitute other cheeses if desired.
