A delicious and easy-to-make monte cristo breakfast bake with layers of bread, ham, and cheese.


Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread
  • 4 slices of ham
  • 4 slices of turkey
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • Powdered sugar for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish.
  3. Layer 4 slices of bread in the dish.
  4. Add ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese on top.
  5. Top with the remaining 4 slices of bread.
  6. In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon.
  7. Pour the egg mixture over the bread layers.
  8. Let it soak for 15 minutes.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden.
  10. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
