A warm and comforting Japanese dumpling soup filled with flavorful broth and tender dumplings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup shiitake mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup napa cabbage, chopped
  • 1 cup carrots, sliced
  • 1 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 package gyoza or dumplings
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine chicken broth and water. Bring to a boil.
  2. Add shiitake mushrooms, napa cabbage, carrots, ginger, and garlic. Cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Add dumplings to the pot and simmer for 8-10 minutes until cooked through.
  4. Stir in soy sauce and sesame oil.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with green onions.

Notes

  • Use any type of dumplings you prefer.
  • Adjust the broth with more water for a lighter soup.
  • Add more vegetables as desired.
