A simple and delicious homemade spaghetti sauce inspired by the Pioneer Woman.
Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 carrot, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pot over medium heat.
- Add onion, garlic, carrot, and bell pepper. Sauté until soft.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt, pepper, and sugar.
- Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add fresh basil before serving.

- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Serve over your favorite pasta.
