A delicious Hawaiian banana pineapple cake that combines the flavors of ripe bananas and sweet pineapple.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2–3 bananas)
- 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla to the butter mixture and mix well.
- Stir in mashed bananas and crushed pineapple.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.
- Fold in walnuts if using.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool before serving.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Can be served with whipped cream or frosting.
- For a tropical twist, add coconut flakes.
