- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 1 cup chorizo, cooked and crumbled
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup cream
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add flour and stir for 1-2 minutes to create a roux.
- Gradually whisk in milk and cream until smooth.
- Add garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until thickened.
- Stir in cheddar cheese until melted.
- Add cooked chorizo and macaroni to the cheese sauce. Mix well.
- Serve hot.
