A delicious recipe for beef empanadas using puff pastry.

- 1 package puff pastry
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, cook the chopped onion and minced garlic until soft.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
- Stir in cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes.
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut into circles.
- Place a spoonful of the beef mixture in the center of each circle.
- Fold the pastry over and seal the edges with a fork.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- Serve with salsa or chimichurri.
- You can add cheese for extra flavor.
- Use leftover beef for a quicker option.
