Ingredients

- 1 cup sushi rice
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 1/2 lb fresh tuna, diced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/2 cucumber, sliced
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- seaweed salad (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Add rice and water to a pot and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine diced tuna, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
- In serving bowls, layer rice, tuna mixture, avocado, cucumber, and green onions.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
- Serve with seaweed salad if desired.

- Use sushi-grade tuna for safety.
- Adjust the soy sauce to taste.
