Description

Sweet and sour chicken is a popular dish that combines crispy chicken with a tangy sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cubed
  • 1 cup bell peppers, chopped
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add chicken cubes and cook until golden brown.
  3. Remove chicken and set aside.
  4. Add onion and bell peppers to the pan, sauté until soft.
  5. In a bowl, mix sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, and cornstarch.
  6. Pour the mixture into the pan and stir well.
  7. Add pineapple chunks and cooked chicken back to the pan.
  8. Cook for another 5 minutes until sauce thickens.
  9. Season with salt and pepper.
  10. Serve hot over rice.

  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less sugar.
