- 12 large mushrooms
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup cooked sausage, crumbled
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- Olives for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Remove stems from mushrooms and chop them finely.
- In a skillet, sauté the chopped stems, garlic, and sausage until cooked.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, mozzarella, green onions, sautéed mixture, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff each mushroom cap with the cheese mixture.
- Place stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until golden.
- Top each mushroom with an olive to resemble an eyeball.
