Description

A traditional Dominican stew made with a variety of meats and vegetables.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken, cut into pieces
  • 1 lb beef, cut into pieces
  • 1 lb pork, cut into pieces
  • 2 ears of corn, cut into pieces
  • 2 medium plantains, sliced
  • 2 medium potatoes, diced
  • 1 medium carrot, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 6 cups water
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, add the chicken, beef, and pork.
  2. Add water and bring to a boil.
  3. Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
  5. Add corn, plantains, potatoes, carrot, and oregano.
  6. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Cook for another 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
  8. Serve hot.
