A simple and flavorful one pot dish featuring shawarma seasoned chicken and rice.
Ingredients

- 4 chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
- 2 cups of basmati rice
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons of shawarma spice mix
- 4 cups of chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and cook until translucent.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add chicken thighs and season with shawarma spice, salt, and pepper.
- Brown the chicken on all sides.
- Add the rice and stir to combine.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes until rice is cooked.
- Fluff the rice with a fork and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
