Indian Butter Chickpeas: 5 Reasons to Fall in Love

Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas (400g)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • Salt to taste
  • Cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat butter in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add onions, garlic, and ginger; sauté until soft.
  3. Stir in the pureed tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Add chickpeas, garam masala, cumin, coriander, and salt.
  5. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and heat through.
  7. Garnish with cilantro and serve.
