Description

A simple and delicious crockpot chicken parmesan recipe.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 jar marinara sauce (24 oz)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Place the chicken in the crockpot.
  3. Pour the marinara sauce over the chicken.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  5. About 30 minutes before serving, sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  6. Cover and continue cooking until the cheese is melted.
  7. Serve with pasta or on its own.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add chopped basil or oregano.
  • Serve with garlic bread or a side salad.
  • You can use frozen chicken breasts, just increase cooking time.
