Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  4. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, eggs, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Spread a layer of marinara sauce in a baking dish.
  6. Layer 4 lasagna noodles on top.
  7. Add half of the ricotta mixture, followed by half of the ground beef.
  8. Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  9. Repeat the layers, ending with noodles and sauce on top.
  10. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  11. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  12. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.

  • Use fresh herbs for better flavor.
  • Let the lasagna sit before cutting for cleaner slices.
  • Can be made a day ahead and stored in the fridge.
