A hearty lasagna perfect for Christmas Eve gatherings.
Ingredients

- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, eggs, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Spread a layer of marinara sauce in a baking dish.
- Layer 4 lasagna noodles on top.
- Add half of the ricotta mixture, followed by half of the ground beef.
- Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Repeat the layers, ending with noodles and sauce on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh herbs for better flavor.
- Let the lasagna sit before cutting for cleaner slices.
- Can be made a day ahead and stored in the fridge.
