Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Press half of the cookie dough into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cookie layer.
- Drop spoonfuls of the remaining cookie dough on top of the cream cheese layer.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
- Use more chocolate chips for a richer flavor.
- Let the bars cool completely for easier cutting.
