- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
- 1/2 cup bourbon BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, onion, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper.
- Mix in crumbled bacon.
- Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Place meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove from oven and brush with bourbon BBQ sauce.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar on top.
- Return to oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, until cheese melts.
Notes
- Adjust BBQ sauce to taste.
- Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
- Can substitute turkey for a lighter meatball.
