- 4 cups day-old bread, cubed
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup bourbon or rum
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine milk, cream, sugar, eggs, bourbon, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
- Add the cubed bread to the mixture and let it soak for 30 minutes.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until set and golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before drizzling with caramel sauce.
